Dr. Dhananjay Malankar is a Cardiothoracic Surgeon with over 13 years of experience in the field of cardiac surgery. He is trained in General surgery as well as Cardiothoracic surgery from the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, which is a premier institute and considered the best in the country. After completing his training, he stayed at AIIMS for 3 more years to gain operative experience, that was followed by 2 years fellowship in adult cardiac surgery at Cleveland Clinic which is ranked no 1 in the USA where he was exposed to state of the art complex cardiac and Heart failure surgeries like LVAD insertion, ECMO and Heart Transplant. Cardiac surgery training is incomplete without the knowledge of the various aspects of congenital heart diseases and their surgical options and that was completed in his 1-year fellowship at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, where he was exposed to a variety of neonatal and Paediatric Cardiac surgery cases and their perioperative management. After all this training he is currently working as a full-time consultant at Fortis Hospital, Mulund.
