Dr Abhishek Kulkarni is one of India’s leading Pediatric & Adolescent Endocrinologists with distinct clinical academic and research expertise in the field for 20 years.

He is an illustrious alumnus of Grant Medical College, Mumbai from where he graduated with several distinctions. He went on to obtain his Masters in Pediatrics (MD) with a dual university gold medal and subsequently his Post-Doctoral training in Pediatric & Adolescent Endocrinology from the prestigious Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences. He was awarded the coveted Visiting Fellowship of the Royal College of Child Health, London in 2014. He has been conferred the adjunct title of Honorary Associate Professor of Pediatric & Adolescent Endocrinology by AHERF India in recognition of his clinical, academic & research contribution to the field.

In addition to his ongoing busy clinical practice ensuring the provision of contemporary care to children with Pediatric & Adolescent disorders, he is credited with having established and headed specialized clinics with growth disorders, juvenile diabetes, obesity, pubertal disorders, thyroid disorders, metabolic and genetic bone diseases, disorders of sex development, neonatal hypoglycemia. He has pioneered the diagnosis and treatment of many rare pediatric endocrine disorders, some of which have been the first of their kind in India.

He has a keen ongoing interest in novel diagnostic & therapeutic clinical research, has numerous publications of national and international repute to his acclaim, and has been an invited speaker and faculty of over a hundred national and international scientific fora in recognition of his clinical expertise. He currently leads a post-doctoral fellowship program to train and mentor clinicians with interest in pediatric & adolescent endocrinology and envisages the provision of ongoing contemporary global standards of care to children and adolescents with endocrine disorders.
